8 Days a Week: thank you to Emily Walters

Ampersand Design Studio

As we promised you last week, we are thrilled to be introducing you to our amazing team of sewing talent for 8 days a week! These ladies graciously volunteered to sew so many beautiful projects for us and we are so very grateful for their time, effort and mad sewing skills. We truly can't thank you all enough!!

First up, we have the lovely and SO talented Emily Walters of Emmy-Ray. We met Emily when we were at the Ric-Rac Round-up craft show here in KC with her, and she was so friendly and sweet! Emily is a florist, event designer, blogger, sewer and as she says, "handmaker of things." She is so creative and skilled in so many areas, it doesn't really even seem fair. :) So, when she offered to help with our sewing projects, we were so excited and thankful. Not only did she volunteer to sew, she took on so many pieces. THANK YOU, Emily! She was a life-saver, to say the least. Pay her blog a visit, you will be so glad you did. (and she has another great blog for weddings here).

Without further ado, here are the beautiful items Emily created for us:

(product photos by Jason Domingues)

Emily made that darling folio in the first two photos and we could not be more obsessed! How cute is that?!? It could really be a wallet, too, with little spots for credit cards or business cards, a place for a pen, notebook and that adorable button closure. You can find the pattern she used for this project here. We are loving the idea of it for shopping lists!

On top of creating the folio, Emily took on three pillows including the over-sized one seen in the back of the bottom photo (above)! We just love the way those turned out! We want to just curl up with the pile of pillows and dream of what we want to sew with the fabrics next! ahhh!

Thank you, Emily!!!
