Package Design for Land of Nod

Ampersand Design Studio

YOU GUYS!!!! We are totally stoked to share this super-fun project we did with The Land of Nod!! YES, they are a dream client of ours. YES we are like their number one fan (and customer). YES we totally freaked out when we got asked to collaborate with them on this! So, we were asked to redesign their packaging including shipping boxes and in-store bags!!! (Dream job!) We partnered with them to create a few custom patterns, new logo treatment and a really awesome color palette, and here we are! What's better than pattern-covered boxes with a surprise pop of color on the inside?!! So...Whatcha think?!!

Panera 2013 Holiday campaign

Ampersand Design Studio

We're pretty proud of our city, that goes without saying, and we tend to think that Kansas City has a pretty talented group of creatives all living here right smack in the middle of the country! The Panera Bread Holiday 2013 campaign struck our eye and we loved discovering that it was designed right here in Kansas City by our famously talented, Willoughby Design! The mix of holiday critters, combined with pattern and letterpress-inspired typography, all in this unique color palette is leaving us speechless! Its nostalgic and new all at the same time! Is it wrong that we want to head over to Panera and say that our order is "to go" just so we can get one of these brown bags?

Trig

Ampersand Design Studio

Isn't this just pure fun to look at? As trained graphic designers and current pattern designers and forever color-lovers.....ahh, this is just overload of fun!! It's a project by Olivia King,a designer and illustrator based in Sydney, Australia. This project is called Trig and here's a little description straight from the mind of the designer:  "I recently started working on a project that's a been a combination of two of my great loves - geometric patterns and accessory design. I was always pretty terrible at maths in school, but the name Trigonometry seemed ironically appropriate in light of my passion for triangles. Using a selection of native Australian materials, and hand painted wood, the first prototype designs were endless and I quickly realised the potential for project where the designs weren't mine, but those of the customers themselves. Using the Trig app, each piece is unique the tastes and style of those making them, with colour, shape and material options available in multiple variations. The final products are finished with natural oils and packaged in bright boxes with personalised thank you cards, ready for wear within days of their creation."
